I have asked senior officials from my Department to invite the Irish Thalidomide Survivors Society to a meeting as soon as this can be arranged.

Senior officials have also very recently met with representatives of the Irish Thalidomide Association.  It is my hope that a way forward can be found to address issues arising for both groups.
